Our first priority at Excellence Day Nursery is to keep children safe. 

We do this in a number of ways:

1. All staff who work with children in our nursery are DBS checked.
2. All staff have up to date and appropriate safeguarding training.
3. All staff know what to do if a child is deemed ‘at risk’. 
4. All staff know how to report safeguarding issues to the Lead Safeguarding Officer.
5. We work closely with all appropriate safeguarding agencies.
6. All members of staff are given full first aid training.
7. Safeguarding posters are displayed around Excellence Day Nursery.
8. All staff receive Fire Safety training.
